Caerith

The keepers of stories, the stewards of the land

Culture

The people of Caerith were a people who understood the importance of stories. They valued them all - from their inherited teachings of how to steward the world around them, to the comedies and tragedies, the horrors and glories.

It is with these tales that they learned to build with the land, creating great structures for festivals and re-enactments, and making the land rich with bountiful plants and soil. They kept themselves in check and only took what they needed to keep the tales alive.

Ruins

There is no one left to tell their tales now. Many of the smaller ruins were swallowed by the trees they called home, and their amphitheatres and shrines are now silent.

The remnants of a festival can still be found half-complete in one of their castle's courtyards, and a library is buried, barely filled with the hasty scribbles of panicked writers - perhaps desperate to leave something for the future to find.
